Dr. Melissa Goodpaster
Dr. Melissa Goodpaster was raised in a small town in northern Idaho. There she attended the University of Idaho, where she graduated with honors, receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. In pursuing her passion for dentistry, she applied to graduate school and was accepted into a prestigious scholarship program titled the Idaho Dental Education Program. This special program selects only 8 students from the entire state of Idaho, and offers them a unique scholarship to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. During her time as a student at Creighton University, she made the Dean’s List six out of eight semesters and was an active member of the Student National Dental Association. After completing dental school at Creighton, she moved to Denver where she has been practicing dentistry in the metro area for the past 8 years. She is now an active member of the Colorado Dental Association New Dentist Committee and is a member of the American Dental Association, Metro Denver Dental Society and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Goodpaster is also a regular participant in both the Seattle and Spear Study Clubs.
In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, camping, snowboarding and Denver Broncos football. She also loves playing volleyball, traveling and being a loving dog-mom to her tiny Yorkshire Terriers, Bruno and Logan. As your dentist, she promises to provide you excellent quality dental care with a gentle touch and a warm smile. As the owner and creator of Cherry Creek Dental Spa, her hope is to use her unique concept to alleviate some of the fears and misconceptions around visit the dentist, and help patients look forward to all of their dental visits.
Dr. Kira Abakumov
Dr. Kira Abakumov was born and raised in Ohio. Her family has been in professional healthcare for generations and she inherited that same innate passion for helping others. Dr. Kira is always warm, energetic, and positive. She loves getting to know her patients and cares about them like family. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Dr. Kira is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she played collegiate lacrosse. Her training includes a post-baccalaureate in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kira graduated with honors, including the prestigious Dean’s Award, which is awarded to only a few students for continued academic and clinical excellence throughout their dental education. She also obtained her General Practice Residency Certificate from Denver Health Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience in hospital dentistry, trauma and emergency dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, pedodontics, and prosthodontics.
In her free time, you can find her climbing up (or skiing down) a mountain! She also enjoys playing tennis, practicing hot yoga, interior design, cooking, hosting dinner parties, and traveling. Dr. Kira found her passion in dentistry because of her love for health, medicine, art, working with people, and improving people’s lives. As your dentist, she promises to provide you with an extraordinary experience and the highest quality care, all while making you feel at home.
Dr. Lam Le
Dr. Lam Le is a Florida native by way of Hue, Vietnam. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida, his master’s degree in bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University, and his DMD from the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then completed a one-year AEGD residency at the Orlando VA Medical Center before pursuing specialty training in prosthodontics at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center. Dr. Le is a board eligible candidate with the American Board of Prosthodontics and is scheduled to challenge his boards at the end of 2022. He is also Vice President of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) – Wisconsin Chapter, and a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Le has spent the last four years of advanced post-graduate training delivering exceptional care for our nation’s veterans and honing his passion for complex oral rehabilitation. While serving our veterans, he also co-directed the general dentistry residency program at both the Milwaukee VA and the Milo C. Huempfner VA Medical Center in Green Bay. He is now thrilled at the opportunity to provide the highest level of surgical and restorative dental care for the metro Denver community. In his free time, Dr. Le enjoys cooking, photography, building furniture, and snowboarding.
