Dr. Melissa Goodpaster, DDS

Founding Doctor

Raised in northern Idaho, Dr. Goodpaster founded Cherry Creek Dental Spa around a simple instinct: people deserve excellent dentistry without the dread. She's known for an unhurried chairside manner, a gentle touch, and a warm smile, and for the way she actively works to reduce the fear and misconceptions so many patients carry into a dental office.

She earned a biology degree with honors and a Spanish minor from the University of Idaho before attending Creighton University School of Dentistry through the Idaho Dental Education Program, where she earned Dean's List recognition and was active in the Student National Dental Association. She has practiced in the Denver metro area for years.

Dr. Jennifer Bhulanja, DDS

A Wisconsin native, Dr. Bhulanja's care is compassionate, relationship based, and personalized. She takes time with explanations, and her advanced residency training gives her a steady approach to a wide range of clinical scenarios.

She earned a biology degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her DDS from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, followed by a General Practice Residency at Denver Health Medical Center with advanced training across hospital dentistry, trauma and emergency dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pedodontics.

Hygienist

Eric is a Colorado native who has been in the dental field for over eight years. He graduated from dental hygiene school in 2014 and has been practicing hygiene ever since. Eric is currently studying to complete his biology degree, which he intends to use to continue his dental career and work toward his goal of becoming a dentist. His passion and care for his work are evident in the personal connection he builds with each patient and the difference he can make with every appointment.

Lauren

Hygienist

Lauren moved to Denver from Kansas and loves calling Colorado home. She grew up with a passion for soccer and played at the collegiate level. During school, she transferred to Kansas State University to complete her pre-dental studies. In 2021, she graduated from JCCC with an associate's degree in dental hygiene. Lauren loves educating people about oral health and helping her patients feel comfortable. Outside of work, she lives a fitness-oriented life and enjoys spending time with her dog, Arlo, traveling, and trying new foods.

Grace

Hygienist

Grace is a proud Colorado native who studied dental hygiene locally. She is passionate about improving her patients' quality of life through their oral health and loves connecting with others by sharing her enthusiasm for dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time at the gym, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.

Heidi

Hygienist

Heidi is originally from Pensacola, Florida, where she earned her associate degree in dental hygiene from the University of West Florida. She recently relocated to Denver to be closer to family and embrace a new environment. Outside of the office, Heidi enjoys skiing and spending quality time with loved ones. With a deep passion for dentistry, she is dedicated to improving the oral health and well-being of her patients through compassionate, high-quality care.

Brianna

Hygienist

Brianna is a dedicated dental hygienist with four years of experience helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles. She attended dental hygiene school in downtown Denver and built a strong foundation in patient care and preventive dentistry. Brianna is passionate about creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient and takes pride in being empathetic, gentle, and attentive to individual needs. Outside of the office, she loves traveling and experiencing new cultures and places, and one of her long-term dreams is to live outside the United States.

Alishia

Dental Assistant

Alishia is originally from Richmond, Virginia, but moved to Denver just before finishing high school. She has been in the dental field for over 20 years and has been an amazing team member since joining our growing practice. Her passion for patient education, care, and attention to detail helps her make sure each patient receives the best care for their individual needs. Alishia has worked in dentistry as both a dental assistant and an insurance coordinator, and her ability to adapt to any situation makes her a fantastic asset to our office. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her two children, and watching them excel in school and sports.

Maria

Dental Assistant

Raised in Dallas, Maria began her dental career in 2014 and quickly discovered a passion for helping people feel confident in their smiles. She moved to Colorado in 2021, where she and her husband now share life with their two pets, Max and Cami. Outside the office, she enjoys time with family and exploring new places in their RV.

Dental Assistant

Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Maria Fernanda has called Denver home since she was three years old. A graduate of Denver's Class of 2017, she began pursuing her passion for dentistry while still in high school, attending Emily Griffith Technical College for dental assisting and earning her certification just one month after graduation. Over the past nine years, Maria has gained experience across multiple areas of dentistry, giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care. She loves educating patients about their oral health, helping ease their anxiety during treatment, and watching their confidence grow as their smiles are transformed. She believes there's no better accessory than a healthy, confident smile. Outside the office, Maria enjoys paddleboarding at Bear Creek Lake and making memories with her seven-year-old son at Monster Jam events.

Nohemy

Dental Assistant

Nohemy is a Colorado native who attended a technical college during her senior year of high school as a running start student. She graduated in May 2023 among the top 10 students in her class. Shortly after graduation, she began her dental assistant program. She also has a passion for dental hygiene and plans to continue her education to become a dental hygienist. Her love for dentistry comes from her desire to help others, build meaningful relationships, and ease patients' anxiety. Nohemy loves to cook and bake and enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved dog, TJ.

Kenzie

Office Manager

McKenzie is a Denver native with more than 10 years of experience in the dental field. With a background in both front office operations and chairside assisting, she approaches patient care with compassion and a comprehensive perspective. McKenzie is dedicated to upholding our core values at Cherry Creek Dental Spa and strives to make every patient feel supported and informed in their oral health needs, recommendations, and long-term goals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being outdoors, and going to concerts.

Chris

Treatment Coordinator

Chris is originally from New York and started his dental career in Philadelphia in 2020. In 2023, he drove across the country to Denver to begin a new journey. Chris has experience working in all aspects of the front office and enjoys helping patients with their dental needs. His goal is to keep expanding his knowledge and proficiency within the field. Outside the dental office, you can find him hiking in the mountains, traveling to new places, and visiting national parks.

Zaiga

Insurance Coordinator

Zaiga was born in Latvia, a small country in northeastern Europe. After earning her master's degree in German philology, she visited her best friend in Ireland and ended up staying for more than four years. On a trip home to visit family, she met her husband at the airport. A few years later, they married and moved to San Francisco with their cat, Bonnie. After seven years in California, Zaiga and her family began a new chapter in Denver. Outside of work, she loves hiking, biking, skiing, and her newer hobby, macrame. Zaiga is still relatively new to the dental field and is excited to keep learning and help patients in any way she can.

Katelyn

Hygiene Coordinator

Originally from Michigan, Katelyn developed a love for water sports. She enjoys wakeboarding, surfing, and kayaking in her free time. With eight years of experience in healthcare across a variety of specialties, she brings a well-rounded background, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing exceptional care and service.
